I've spent half my life dealing with terrible, chronic neck pain, and had little luck with getting relief. After a particularly frustrating period of really bad muscle tension, I ended up doing some searching, and found this. Sure, there are similar devices on Amazon, but this one seems to be well made, and you can't beat the price! I've used it several times since I got it, and it's so comfortable I almost fall asleep! I'd expected the material to be rubbery for some reason, but it's really soft and comfortable, which is fantastic. I have 2 discs in my neck that are herniated with degenerative arthritis. I have a neck stretcher that lays on the floor or bed, you put your head in it and you pump it like this.....the problem with that one is it's bulky, heavy and uncomfortable. I found this one and figured 17 bucks what the heck. SO:Pro's - it is one to five for comfort i'd give it a 4.5 it really is easy to use, just 2 chin straps the pump and release is easy to use the device is adjustable with the straps for smaller and larger necks.Con's - when you have it pumped to comfort the device drives your lower jaw into your upper jaw making it feel like you are being strangled, at least until you get used to it. it's a pain in the hand pumping the pump 25 times just to get it to a point where you start to feel it working, like squeezing a stress ball 25 times. So in short, yes I will keep using it, BUT......i'm buying a mouth guard so my teeth stop gritting when using it.

Good product. I was contemplating buying this and then saw it for sale in my chiropractor's office. He said it was a decent way to get cervical decompression (I've been doing lumbar decompression on his table for a while). I don’t know how this is supposed to work but I know it does. I started going to the chiropractor around April with what began as a dull burn/aching sensation around my shoulders. Come to find out I have an old injury that healed improperly. I take turmeric daily which helps but for the last two/three months I always wake up with almost completely unbearable discomfort in my neck. I’m not old enough for this! A girl I met in the chiropractor office told me to try one of these pillows. So after mushing my face up in it the first time I thought it may be the placebo effect. Day two, day three, day four. Okay. I’m a believer. I don’t know how it works but my neck feels so loose and the discomfort while it still exists is almost undetectable. I was unsure about buying this - I've had 2 surgeries for scoliosis and have rods and screws up and down my back. I'm fully disabled due to that, so the last thing I need are neck problems or anything else with my spine. I use this thing at night if I feel a little achy from being at the computer (I try pretty hard not to keep things at eye level). I've even fallen asleep with it on, so it's comfortable. I bought a similar product from another supplier that was useless so I was reluctant to try another. This one is a great product. Holds pressure well, is comfortable and relatively easy to install. My only disappointment is in the instructions. It is not clear how to seal off the flow of air. Turns out that a small metal ball is manipulated from the line up into a dome which opens the line for pumping and release of air. When you move the ball down into the main line it stops the flow of air.

Almost immediately stopped the “OMG I need a chiropractor” crinkling and cracking feeling in my neck.I’ve only used it a couple of times so far, and the relief I’ve had (mostly from a very old whiplash from being rear-ended) is nothing short of incredible. Better and more long lasting for me than a couple of opioids and/or NSAIDS which I really can’t take.I’ve resigned myself over the years that nothing will ever really help my neck, so this thing is like a gift from God!It’s soft material is very pleasant, and it’s easy to use. I used this product to provide traction for my neck. Overall it was easy to put on and inflate. The cloth was soft. Even though this fit snugly under my chin and was very close to my face and nose, I didn't notice any chemical smells or outgassing as is common with mfg. products. If it had chemical smells, I would've returned it immediately. I was hoping this would work so well that chiropractor appointments would not be necessary anymore. Perhaps I expected too much from this product??? It didn't increase my neck pain or decrease it. It's probably one of those products you have to try out for yourself to see if it does what you expect.

I have purchased a couple of other manufacturers neck traction products. This one is the best that I have had. It is very comfortable and large enough to fit my neck and shoulders. I also like the softness of the material used so it is comfortable on my skin. The only reason for not giving it a 5 star rating is the 2 tabs that hold the unit together with Velcro have the Velcro on the tab nearest the bellows does not go to the billows end. It fits me, but to make it tight enough I have the run the tab all the way past the end a bit. If the tab had the Velcro soft piece on the tab go to both ends of the tab it would be easier to tighten the unit and I would have given it 5 stars.

Ok guys. It’s 10/15/19. My injury happened 5/25/19. Blew out cervical disk C5/C6 in jiu jitsu. Endured immense suffering ALL SUMMER. I own an HVAC business and I drive a lot, and not working isn’t an option. THE ONLY THING to give me relief has been this device. I am 6’4”. My head is large, and so is yours. Think about it. The weight of that head bouncing around on your bulging disc all day. I have had the device for 4 days and have been using 2-3 times a day for 15-30 min sessions. I am SYMPTOM FREE this morning, and felt compelled to write a review as I searched long and hard for answers. Try this if you have cervical disc problems. Alleviate that weight so it can heal.

Only 4 stars because there's always room for improvment. That being said, this device works for me. It provides some relief, works quickly, and is comfortable to wear. If you're like me your neck is going to be somewhat stiff forever. This device actually helps. I find using this while laying down works great as well. Only thing I would improve on would be the Velcro. The strips are not angled correctly once infladed, but still works well enough. I'm going to try it on the airplane (if my wife let's me) because it will actually support your head unlike those crappy neck pillow we all buy for the plane but ultimately suck if we are honest with ourselves. Worth buying.

I was skeptical about this product but I went ahead and bought it. I am pleased to say after using it a couple of times my neck pain was gone. I find that if my neck starts bothering me I just put it on for about 15 minutes and the pain goes away. I have had great results using it and would recommend it to anyone who suffers neck pain. I do find that it can take a bit to inflate and my hand gets tired but that is worth it for the pain relief.

This is the 3rd neck traction unit I've purchased, the first was a cheaper inflatable, and it did a decent job, often alleviating my neck pain. The 2nd was an expensive stiff plastic unit, the main thing I didn't like about it was when I have the inflatable pumped up I can rotate my neck around to help free up it up, the expensive stiff plastic unit was like hospital traction you can't flex at all. Now on to this unit I'm reviewing, it's bigger than my last one. I'm 5'10' 210 lbs and the straps to connect it are literally at the last bit of velcro, but it does hold. And it stretches, like my last one maybe a bit better. I wish the overall design fit my neck better as it tends to climb the sides my head even with it pulled as tight as possible. I would think a smaller person would not want this at all.All that said, if you have upper cervical pain definitely get a version of one of these, don't be afraid to try and return to find a better fit. My CT joint gets bound up and pinches nerves, sometimes it takes a couple days of stretching to get it, but eventually I can. So my point is use it for a few minutes every day, be patient, use a good cervical pillow, and visit a chiropractor if you can. :-)

Use it every day for the best results. I have had severe neck pain from an old injury from the military in 1982. I've tried everything you can imagine with little relief. After using this traction device for about a week all the pain and stiffness is gone. I still use it on occasion but it's just for maintenance. Good luck with your discomfort. I’ve only had this item for a couple days and have used 3 times. I love everything about it but the way it’s inflated. I didn’t take into consideration I have arthritis in my hands so pumping the rubber bulb can be uncomfortable and cause discomfort to my my hands. But otherwise, it has been giving me neck pain relief! Both of my PT and my chiropractor suggested I invest in a neck traction devise and I’m happy with this product!

This cervical traction device was recommended by my chiropractor. I have never heard of this before she mentioned it to me. It still seems like a miracle to me how well it works to relieve the pain I’ve been feeling for weeks and weeks. Nothing else seem to work as well as this does.It’s well-made, easy to inflate, and deflate. Bottom line – it’s just what the doctor ordered! Just a note- important – be sure to measure your neck size because I found a smaller size choking and the x-large size was perfect for me.

I had purchased another brand of cervical traction device earlier in the year from Amazon, and it was awful in that it didn’t pump up and keep the inflation. This one is different-IT WORKS! Right now I’m suffering from a pinched nerve from my cervical spine vertebra C5, and I’m waiting for a nerve block to be done. I’m using this in the meantime. It inflates easily and the air stays in. It has a nice valve system that you can release to let some air out, but you really don’t need to do that in between using this device. The company said they had improved the Velcro straps, and they do seem to work well. I gave it 4 stars only because I’m not sure the whole width of it is right for my small neck. Because of degenerative joint disease and arthritis, my neck has “shrunk”. A smaller all-over size would probably fit me better. However, for what’s out there and for what I’ve tried before, this is the best.

This worked for me. Neck pain gone after a few days. I can again ride a bike and sleep. I will continue with it since I feel generally better and suspect some pinched nerves I wasn't aware of were cutting my energy. My only caveat is measure your neck to get the right size. I think I should have gotten medium instead of large since the velcro barely reaches - but that's my mistake. It would be nice if the white velcro strip was a bit longer but it works fine. Just very close.

I like the device so far. My husband suffers from the neck pain. He has to have a massage often. Recently, he got huge pain which caused pain in the arm. I can tell he struggled a lot. I offered him a neck pillow and explained that it’s not a travel pillow. He was skeptical at first but after trying the pillow for some time, his pain became lower until almost disappeared. My neck is in a lot of pain from an auto accident. Normal sitting and standing become excruciating after a couple of hours with my nerve pinched and what feels like a couple of bulging discs. After spending my day alternating between a whiplash collar and lying on the floor to take the pressure off, this beauty arrived. It is light and soft, much more breathable than the collar, and easily inflates to give my neck instant relief. I saw some reviews saying it was too tight. I don't have any problems with that. My neck is pretty narrow but it's highly adjustable and I use the velcro straps on the tightest setting.

I herniated a disk in my neck several years ago. Most days I'm good, but some days are really bad. And, once you get in the cycle of neck pain, it can be hard to break that cycle. I decided to try this because of the affordable price. I tried it as soon as it arrived. I put it on for about 20 minutes, increasing the pressure slightly every few minutes. Afterwards, I relaxed for about a half hour. To my surprise, my neck was not tight and painful for several hours. I use it almost everyday for 15-20 minutes. So far, it really seems to help.

I tried a more expensive neck cervical pillow, and I tried a less expensive. Those pillows both had issues such as not holding air after being inflated. The air bulb pump didn’t work correctly. The cheaper one had a weird smell I didn’t care for. Anyway, this traction pillow is definitely a 10 compared to others in this price range. It’s soft. It easily and quickly inflates. It doesn’t smell like foreign plastic. Most importantly, it’s comfortable when I use it. I have terrible posture, but after 10 minutes a day of using this pillow, I feel taller and stand more upright. My neck pain has gone from a 7 to about a 3 if I use it regularly.

This does take pressure off of the neck but if you really need to pump it up the velcro starts to slip. I have used it for about 2 weeks and it seems to be helping my neck pain.Additionally, don't fall asleep with it on. I did one night and my scalp had went numb when I woke up. Follow the directions.

I've been having neck problems recently from working and a neck massage just doesn't cut it anymore. When I got this in the mail, I was so excited to use it to see if it works. I didn't even read any of the directions and I figured it out right away. Super easy to use! It definitely provided some relief on my neck. I've been using it for 15 minutes a day every time I get home from work. Both my husband and I almost fell asleep wearing it once (Although, I don't recommend it). Anyway, highly recommend this product!

Tried a couple of times. Can't give it miracle reviews (yet) but will keep plugging away. Did feel some stretching. Got to do it a lot. Took a bit to get the straps right but got it. Funny, the massage ball sent with it, is pretty darn amazing. No kidding. Hopefully, I can add good info to this review after a few weeks of use.

My husband is been having a terrible cervical pain for the past couple of weeks, a friend mentioned the cervical neck traction and decided to give it a try.The relieve was almost immediately noticeable. He had a 9 hours flight and this thing was a life saver.

I’ve used it 4 times and instant relief. I pimp it up then deflate after 30 second. Repeat for about 10 minutes. If u don’t have a long neck this contraption might not work best for you. I have long thin neck. If i were thinner the Velcro straps would not work. But I’m 115 lbs so most wont have that problem. Overall best little contraption. However u gotta use it not let it sit on shelf. I have shoulder blade issues and neck issues. Seems to help pretty good. The chiropractor has s May doem thing. Not as good in my opinion.

My main concern was not knowing if this would have a smell, because I have chemical sensitivity & absolutely cannot handle any sort of plastic or rubber type smells. Zero odor on the neck pillows, & zero odor on the squeeze bulb too. It's soft, & very comfy. In addition to using it when I sit up I also use this to sleep in. For sleeping I just undo the velcro straps, & it become the most perfect neck pillow I've ever owned. This is a really wonderful product!

Seems like it takes more pumps to inflate than the original. An associate of mine has the original, that's how I found out about the product. But works great for traction once inflated and seems to hold the air well. Fit is good and easily adjusted

My wife was suffering with a very sever neck pain, and we were getting ready to go on Vacation. After visiting a Doctor, he recommended this device.When we received it, She used it right away. It started to work immediately. All during the Vacation She used it in the Car and it worked great. The ability to take the pressure of the head from the shoulders, and hold the head upright, was amazing. By he middle of our Vacation (two weeks total) she was much better, and has not needed it for five days now. I would greatly recommend this product to anyone that a sever stiff neck. it does work, and is very inexpensive.

I would definitely buy this product again. I have three herniated discs on my neck and was in constant pain. I tried nothing else but this product. My pain has been reduced by at least 70%. The pump would not inflate the device because the check valve in the bottom of the ball was missing.After calling to report the issue, they sent me a replacement, and it works great.

Because the neck is forced to take on absurd postures to manipulate our cell phones, tablets or computers, it is also forcing the muscles into compensation. Repetitive compensation will eventually develop into over compensation of the neck muscles resulting in soar, tight muscles, compressed discs & possibly headaches, etc.Traction of the entire spine has always been a vital posture of the yogis for maintaining the overall health of our biomechanics. Personally, I have had over 4 significant whiplash conditions of the neck & low back resulting in 3 herniated discs in each area. Along with my yoga poses I use the aid of of this neck traction devise, NeckFix while sitting & relaxing. My orthopedic MD says; 'keep doing whatever you're doing...it's working'.

this is a great product. I need to resell it though because I ended up not needing it after I found the cause of my neck pain. it was suggested I had compression but I ended up having other issues. I hope someone else enjoys it. It seemed to work very well. And it did relieve my pain while it was inflated.
